Terms of Use

Last updated: July 4, 2026

These terms apply to the Teller app for iPhone and Apple Watch ("Teller", "the app"). By downloading or using Teller you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who we are, and acceptance

Teller is developed and published by an independent developer based in the Netherlands ("we", "us"). Teller is distributed through the Apple App Store, so your use of the app is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the App Store terms. Where these terms are silent, Apple's standard terms apply.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Teller for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules.

3. Restrictions

You may not:

4. Purchases

If Teller offers paid features, one-time purchases or subscriptions now or in the future, payment is processed by Apple through your Apple Account and governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Any subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage and cancel them in your App Store account settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy.

5. Your data and privacy

Teller stores your data on your own devices and syncs it directly between your iPhone and Apple Watch. How we handle (or rather, don't handle) your data is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your own device backups.

6. Health and wellness disclaimer

Teller is a habit and counter tracking tool. It is not a medical device and provides no medical, health or professional advice. Teller is not designed or intended for medication reminders, medical monitoring or making health decisions. Counts, streaks and insights are informational only and their accuracy is not guaranteed. Always consult a qualified professional for health-related decisions.

7. No warranty

Teller is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of counts and statistics, and uninterrupted availability. We may update, change or discontinue features of the app at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer — including your rights under EU and Dutch consumer law.

9. Apple as third-party beneficiary

These terms are concluded between you and us — not with Apple. However:

10. Termination

This license ends automatically if you breach these terms. You can end it at any time by deleting the app from your devices. Sections 6 through 9 survive termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date at the top. Material changes will be pointed out in the app or in the release notes. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
